Important Notice

Loving yourself: it’s a very simple idea. It may be only two words, but it’s the hardest battle you’ll ever fight. There’s no set way. There’s no IKEA instructions. Everyone’s got their own way of figuring it out. It’s extremely important to live a happy, successful life- to love yourself and everything about who you are. Loving your life is extremely important. But what is your life? What should you love? And what should you change?

Love the people around you.
Let’s face it- we’re stuck with our family. There’s no choice, so if we’re stuck, we might as well love them. Just because your parents don’t “understand” you, or your siblings tease you, or your cousins leave you out because you’re the youngest, doesn’t mean you should not love them. Love them with your entire heart. Love them until you feel they’re apart of you, because when they become a part of you, you start to love yourself. In that love, learn to respect them, because our elders have a lot to teach and advise us about, if we keep listening. As far as friends go, well, you have a choice, so don’t choose people who stress you out or upset you, because negative energy will never benefit you. You’ll get involved in a lot of hate. So, cut the stress. Yes, even if you like them, because 10/10 times if they stress you out and upset you, they’re not the right friends from you.

Love your rules.
You’ve set up some rules for yourself. Your parents, your religion, and your culture have all done it, too. These rules are mostly there to keep you safe. These rules have been set to keep you alive. Embrace them. Live by them. But whatever you do, don’t break them, because if you break them, you’re ultimately fighting an internal war. A war that ends in your destruction. Moral rules hurt the most when you break them, because no one’s gonna correct you, other than yourself. Understanding and respecting your rules will lead to a better life.

Love where you come from.
It doesn’t matter who you want to be; it matters who you already are, and we are what we are from. Be proud of your heritage, because every family has struggled. Every family has done something amazing, so be proud of it. Be proud of where you came from, because that will lead you to tomorrow. Don’t ever be ashamed or try to be something you aren’t, because that will lead to nothing.

Be you because no one else can be.
